See? SEE?? I told you!!!

What do you think this could be?

It could be puppies exploring my apartment. It is, in fact, puppies violating my office chair!! And who's in that photo, humping merrily away? It's Picasso!! Bastard. Pervert. What kind of puppies am I raising?!?

Before we go any further, I want you to hold up your right hand and repeat after me:

"Food Lady is insane (in a good way). Food Lady has 12 dogs in her 400 square foot apartment. Food Lady is raising rescue puppies, running a dog rescue and is forced to live with Tweed 24/7. She takes the dogs to the beach almost every day. She takes lovely puppy pictures for us almost every day. I therefore will not judge her for the obscene amount of sand on her floors. Sweartogodamenbrutha."

Okay, we're good. I didn't vacuum and sweep until *after* puppy playtimez.

Ladies and Gentleman (Yeah, just one gentleman. I assume it's only Cookie Uncle representin' for the boyz) we have little dogs.

Not potatoes, real live little dogs. Look!

We had a playdate. In just a couple of days, it has become play for 25 minutes and sleep for 45, then repeat. I'm thinking of starting them on heroin or some other kind of downer.

"Yum. Flesh."
^^ takes after Donut!!

Tweed passes on more perverse secrets.

I'm annoyed that I screwed up the focus on this one because it's such a pretty shot - or it would be, even with the trashcan in the background. If you really loved me, you'd pretend the puppy was in focus too. kthanx.

Besides, I make it up to you with heart tuggers like this:

That's Cindy. Appropriately, given the Brady Bunch theme, she is the most wee puppy in the pack. And she is so SO social. She toddles around after me wagging her tail like mad. She's a feisty little girl with lots of sass. She reminds me of someone ... oh. right. me.

And for Rainy ...

Marsha Marsha Marsha!

Mike, Bobby and Peter were my favorites but Cindy is coming up fast due to that perfect photo of her (all the photos of her actually).

Yep you are losing it .... you called Cookie Uncle a gentleman. Why do you disparage adorable Tweed? He's teaching puppies important social skills, such as humping, you should be grateful. I'm sure it's just an oversight from lack of sleep.

Anyone who lives with a dog or 2 (you are the only one I've heard of with 12) has additional insulation on the floor and couches, and none of us would change it for a pristine house.

Looks like pink noses and muzzles have disappeared. Would you check all 28 little feet to see if they have also changed colour from pink to black? In your spare time of course, suggest when they are sleeping.

I've been reading your blog every day (as has my mate), so "gentlemen" is applicable after all. I'd be willing to bet there are a few more male readers out there who love your incredible photography and witty commentary as much as I do. The state of your floors is absolutely irrelevant to the enjoyment inspired by this blog. You are not a crazy cookie lady, but rather, the most responsible and knowledgeable and open hearted dog lady I have ever come across. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you do!

Hey Picasso and little humping brethen .... go for it .... enjoy it while you can because food lady has a surprise planned for all you boys and girls. A little trip to the vet. Ask Tweed.

sigh...I need me a Marsha...

and thank you for the closeup Mrs Demille! :-) Is that her little fuzzbutt or Mike's up higher?

Any revelations on their hearing or her mini-eye yet?

And your chair was obviously coming onto the pups...I mean seriously...that chair has "hump me" written all over it. Such a trampy chair...

Awwwwwwwwww they get cuter and cuter every day - and sound like they are driving you to the brink of insanity little by little too!! Oh and anyone who's looking at your floor instead of those gorgeous dogs needs a slapping!

Picasso's look of concentration is hilarious.

Sandy floors? Hey, you haven't seen my carpet. At least it was mud-coloured to start with.

Hey Food Lady/RDM -- I thought that by increasing my Sheltie Stash to seven, which I did when a friend had to go into hospital and left her dogs with me, I'd be the unchallenged Queen of Too Many Dogs. But you beat me at that game! My hat's off to you. :)

By the way, if I may be permitted a moment of shameless self-promotion? Sander's Book is finished and available as an e-book on his website. Woo-hoo! http://www.cinnamondog.com/book.html

And I'm putting a link to Three Woofs on his site this week. Ta!

Floor? what floor? 12 dogs in 400 squ ft... who can see the floor? Who cares about the floor anyway? Not a single one of us. We care about photos of what's wandering around the floor.

Yknow I've often wondered to myself..."Self...how does Food Lady keep her floors so clean with FOUR dogs?!!" Seriously, even with 12 dogs in 400sf, your floors are IMMACULATE compared to mine. And I've only got 2 dogs, one cat, a hubby and a 5 year old...and I abhor sweeping/mopping. I leave most of that to the dogs, but you should see my carpets! Blech. Gosh I feel the sudden urge to clean. Anyhoo, you shouldn't give a damn what we think about your floors....you are seriously going above and beyond the call of duty, and if you have dirty floors, so effin be it! BTW, I don't think the photo of Mona/pup/trashcan is out of focus...then again I'm no photographer. That's why I visit here so regularly :) Much kudos!

Floor? You have a floor?
I haven't seen my floor in weeks, and I only have 1 dog.

I was just looking at the pups on the rescue site. I see you have described Picasso as having tons of "sponk". Is that a dirty word?
