Sorta, but not really

I guess orange dogs are mutually repellent, like the wrong sides of magnets.

Toady we drove all the way out to White Rock to a magical dog beach that, as it turns out, is closed in the summer. There was about 9 billion miles of beach and 7 people on it, but HEAVENS, NO DOGS ALLOWED! What a waste of a perfectly good morning (White Rock = really far away!). Also, curses to the internet website that failed to mention the summer time closure!! I mean, when you can't believe everything you read on the internet, what is the world coming to?

So we stopped at MacDonald Beach in Richmond on the way back. We hadn't been there in a while, and I guess we missed the memo about it being Giant Dog Day today.

An Irish Wolfhound:

A Great Dane:

(Why does Food lady only take photos of Giant Dogs' asses? I dunno. Shut up. )

A Giant Schnauzer (puppy)

Red Dog
(Oops, he's not giant. Oh well, I always was a bit of a non-conformist)

So anyway. There was this pretty Aussie there who was gleefully retrieving a hunk of wood from the water

Until Woo stole it

And then artfully hid himself behind 11 blades of grass. He's so sly.

The Cirque Du Soleil of Dents folles (tm)

When Woo starts sticking his head in holes, it's time to go.

When looking at this picture, I imagined this Catahoula with Jane's voice going "What the - OMG, look at that TAIL!"
-----------------------------------------------

The day before yesterday we went back to Spanish Banks. It's less crowded on weekdays than Kits Beach, and as an added bonus lacks a significant feature - a dorky metal-rapper dude with a stupid patch of chin hair (grow a real beard, poser) a toque (oh hai - it's summertime! Toques not required!) and a super bad attitude. Plus, Cruz like Spanish Banks better, and we like Cruz!

We didn't get this memo either: Synchronized Shaking German Day

Please indulge me by clicking on this photo so you can view the expression on Piper's face. It's beyond funny. I don't think Piper gets enough credit in the "Funny Faces" genre of Three Woofs and a Woo.

Oops! Missed!

No worries. Tweed got it.

I do wish there were more pictures of Woo's behind so I could enjoy his beautiful feather duster! I love the face but the tail just sends me!
