And this is why...

Tweed has a "no humping" command.

Poor Orbit. When he invited Tweed to play, he had no idea what he was in for!

I'm totally innocent. Hey, is that a hawt young puppy?

Today at Bridgeman, my camera died after about 5 shots. I thought I'd brought the wrong / uncharged battery along, but when I got home, the camera turned on and worked perfectly. It's the first time my camera has died in the cold weather.

I was going to go out and take more photos, but then it started snowstorming. AGAIN. So instead I decided to recreate my Yucatan vacation with the help of a useful prop:

My cheap ass Mexican safari hat.

Wicked.

Not.

And then my flash died.

January 4 2009 - the day the camera died.

The dogs were immediately bored almost to death.

So to liven the mood I began to sing:

"C IS FOR COOKIE
THAT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR -"

ME! MEMEMEMEMEMEMEME!

Poor Tweed is not so bright.

Where's the cookie? In here?

Three Wise (?) Dogs.
Waiting for liver.

Stop teasing. Give liver. kthxbai.

OMG. We are so tired of snow. When will it end, so we can take pictures of something else? Save us.

Piper is begging you.

HAHA Tweed humping. No, seriously I am laughing because I have the same problem with Poke. It is nice to see that I am not the only one who has to correct their dog mid hump. Nothing beats that mid thrust head tilt when your dog realises he as been caught.

So sorry for the loss of your camera, it will be missed I'm sure :(

Oh my camera didn't die. It just didn't want to function in the cold. And the flash batteries required recharging, that's all.

I just found your blog recently and I love your pictures! I'm a Vancouver girl myself, so it's awesome to relate to the things you are blogging about (like the weather - seriously, enough snow already!).

I seem to recall that Food Lady was begging for Snowtimez before she left for sunny Mexico... but enough of that tropical nonsense! Now we have Tweird the Puppedophile, and Piper in a pith helmet, and Woo up to his Flamboyance (t) in snow. Oh yes, and one very peeved Donut. Welcome home, Food Lady! We missed you.

Oh no! Which camera? The 20D?

It got up to 22 Fahrenheit here today. That's the high for the last week IIRC. I made a big container of pico de gallo just for fun, so my tastebuds got a tropical vaca even if I can't go.

Ahahahahah! I love the humpy Tweed picture. Orbit is saying "DIE YOU DEMON SPAWN" and Tweed is all, "yes, yes, I'll be done in just a minute, hold on, could ya just hold still?"

Ahahahahahah!
