Seniors Are Sexy

Today I had a photo shoot scheduled for two of my favourite older dogs; Gus and Charissa. Gus and Charissa were both adopted through TDBCR and I have 'shot' Charissa before. Charissa was diagnosed with cancer a year or two ago, but she is the Timex of border collies - she takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'!

Gus and Charissa's owners say that G & C are like an old married couple that have nothing to say to one another anymore ... they live in harmony, but totally ignore each other. Ah, wedded bliss.

A couple of my favourites from today's session:

Miss Charissa, looking fabulous at, I think, 13 years old

Mr. Go Go Gadget Gus, who is maybe 9 or 10 years old but never.stops.running.

I will put more photos of this lovely old couple up on my flickr account later this week.

--------------------

Mr. Woo wants you to know that sand tastes shitty.

Piper wants you to know that when Woo does this, it futhermuckin' hurts, and that's why she makes Mad Teeth (tm):

Tweed wants you to admire his super powerful physique

And this is a cute puppy ... because everyone likes a cute puppy!

Ha ha. Funny tongue.

Aww Gus and Charissa, it sounds like they make a great couple!

Poor Piper, but she does do those mad teeth extremely well! LOL

Gotta love the handsome seniors. I liked the comment about them being like old maried couples!

Fantastic shot of Tweed's twisted tongue :) The dof and bokeh are glorious :)

HOW, tell me HOW, do you catch those moments?? I wait and wait for something to photograph where my fur baby is concerned and I either miss it by one click....or it's fuzzy as hell.

I have a large 12 year old - the senior years are such a gift.

Tweed looks fan-tabulous! Can I go on his diet and exercise regime? Oh wait...that would mean I would have to love to run. Forget it.

First of all, I love this entry. Second, I showed my boyfriend this blog and told him that I wanted to start taking pictures of my dogs and he bought me a camera! It's a film camera though, so I need to get them developed still. But I'm really excited to share them!

b13 - loves the shaking dog photos!! Aren't they fun to take?

dana - I am a photographer. I document almost everything in my life through the lens. I've been doing this for a long time and I have the gear to prove it!

brianna - congratulations on your new camera and interest in photography!

Everyone else - thank you for the kind words and comments. I am so glad you all like the blog!
