WIN!

I feel like I have been waiting my whole life to take this photo, and finally today I did.
Bless Mr. Woo for his weird and wonderful ways. I threw no ball. I gave him no instructions. We simply were visiting MacDonald Beach today and Wootie swam out to a little clump of rocks for no reason at all, and then decided to SPROING back to shore.

I like that photo so much I almost don't want to post anything else!

But I don't want to upset Tweed's fans.

Or Piper's.

And to think I was worried I wouldn't get anything decent, as I left our walk until kinda late today.

It started out with some blue sky and sun peeping through the clouds.

But it started looking rather ominous before too long.

But this brave soul was not worried, he was just really enjoying his walkies.

It was even warm enough for some light swimming ... and posing.

But Piper says no matter how warm it is, it's never okay for Tweed to beat her to the ball. Because that makes her angry.

This is something Woo thinks about carefully.

He's been on the other side of that fence.

Piper thinks it would be a good idea if you were to adopt this dog:

from Inland Northwest Rescue in Idaho.

Because she thinks one of her is plenty, and that The Food Lady doesn't need to adopt her doppelganger.

And speaking of doppelgangers, we have also found my dearly departed Briggs' stunt double.

rdrun

Bailey has more white on him than Briggs did, but they share a remarkable resemblance!

Bailey was adopted (yay!) as a senior (yay!) from a shelter in Colorado. You can read more about him here.

Now everyone has a doppelganger except for Tweed.

I guess he truly is one of a kind. A very strange and kind of annoying one of a kind.

"What?"

Please don't be concerned, but Nutz is going to hunt you down, and then kill you.

Just for fun.

What an awesome photo!

And speaking of your cat trying to kill you, I literally just came across this about 5 minutes ago - www.catswhothrowupgrass.com. I'm worried it may be a global plot.

That IS an amazing photo of Mr. Woo! You should be justly proud.

I thought Tweed was the first one to acquire a doppleganger, in the form of Lars. Or does that not count?

Oh good point! I didn't really count Lars though, because we know Lars. I was more thinking of random dogs we don't know that look like our dogs, but I suppose Lars really should count!

Definitely a WIN!!! Perfect!!

I also really like the one with blue sky and sun and park bench..even if there is no dog in it - a very restful photo that just draws me in so I feel like I am there. I'd like that one on my wall!

Oh thanks! I wish there was not a garbage can in it ... but many of my shots at the dog park suffer from the Poop Can problem.

Okay, you made me cry. I really love the pictures today -- and the one of Hannah . . . I think she is BEEOUUUTIFUL! The picture of Mr. Woo is a definite winner and the poor, but brave pup with the wheels is totally wonderful.

Lovely job, RDM.

I love that last picture of Nutz. I almost had to move so I wasn't directly in the bulls eye.

It goes without saying that first picture of Mr. Woo is fabulous.

OMG I thought that picture of Bailey was Briggs!!! He was my #1 true love from the first time I read your blog, so seeing Bailey and learning that he was a senior rescue...ohhhhh, I think it's a message! Briggs is safe in puppy heaven and wanted us to know he's no longer in pain but is still thinking of us! yeah yeah I'm sappy like that but whatever :p lol love the dog on wheels too! and the pic of woo's profile, perfection! btw my 6 yr old son says more Nutz! :)

Holy crap does that dog look like Briggs. Takes the breath away.

Great photo of Woo too. Really nice light.

Food Lady said she wanted art for her walls. And thus it came to pass. The picture of a lifetime courtesy of Mr. Woo. How do we get copies? Will it be available in the Woo and Rescue Shop?

I like the photo with the gathering clouds - and no garbage can! But all the photos were great as always. I feel like I am always saying "great photos" but damnnit it is true. Woo is amazing - did you guess, when you met him at the airport and fell in love with him, that he would be the dog he is?

Meeting Brigg's doppleganger must have hurt your heart. I met a Rio-dog at the beach last week and almost cried.

If you count dogs you already know then Cooper was also a doppelganger for Piper.

Have been reading your blog for about a month, and your writing and photos always bring me a smile. I have one dog (border collie/black lab/german shepherd mix) who is smarter than the bipeds, and an indoor cat who is queen of the universe and reminds us all regularly.

Congratulations on your first photo!
It is fantastic! Well worth waiting the whole life..

That dog looks so much like RD... I seriously wonder if they're related. I looked at more pictures on the blog and he's just as fluffy, with the same expression, ears, and many of the same markings!

Also, the picture of Tweed taking Piper's ball cracks me up. Tweed looks so smug.

How crazy that you found a Briggs doppleganger. He's a pretty unique looking dog, especially in the face.

Wowowowow!

My breath was involuntarily sucked in when my eye balls feasted on that photo.

And I must say that the one with Tweed in front of the pond is eye candy as well.

Wow.

Tweed most certainly does have a doppelganger, & her name is Rosie. She's an Aussie, so no tail, but other than that they are identical--right down to one all white leg & their freckles. Wish I could send you a pic.
