I Can Haz

Doberman puppy cuteness plz?

ZOMG!

Meet Koa, World's Cutest Dobie Puppy.

Hello.

It's difficult to see in this photo, but Mr. Pickles is in the background wearing a grin manufactured from the evil that seeps from the DEVIL'S VERY SOUL. Because Mr. Pickles sucks rocks. We used to be friends, now we are mortal enemies. Apparently it has something to do with me "threatening" to steal his new puppy.

Which he totally doesn't deserve. I mean obviously Koa adores ME*. See the look of love** in his eyes?

*pork liver cookies
** hunger

I have forgotten how much FUN a puppy is! He's all floppy goofy stumbly long legs and head thwacking into stuff funny. And he's like a Learning Sponge, so totally willing to offer behaviours for cookies. In the two days he's come to work, I've free shaped a "sit," a "down" and a reasonable "wave/paw shake" with almost no effort at all.

Thus he is the Anti-Woo, who only knows how to a) roll over and b) barkscream.

My dogs have not met him yet - I thought it might be kinder to let him acclimate to the office business a little bit before inundating him with Mad Teeth (tm), The Puppy Humper and The Center of Attention. You know, the Trio of Rotten.

Puppy Humper?
Ummm.

Anyway, apparently Hammy did not actually satisfy my Annual Small Furry Thing That Usually Equals Puppy Lust, because it has been reignited with the appearance of the dobie doll. FOOD LADY WANTS A PUPPY!!

I will offer a free photo shoot to whomever kills Mr. Pickles, and hands over the puppy to me!!!!

Oh who am I kidding? I can't afford a puppy. I'm going to get fired for not getting any work done!

C'est Impossible.

Oh well, at least Spring has arrived!

Look at that adorable creature. No wonder you want a puppy! That big head, gangly legs. Thanks for spreading the fever. I can't afford a puppy either. Sigh.

Maybe I can sneak....

PUPPY!

The cute has fried my brains and I can't think of anything more sensible to say.

That is one adorable dobie puppy! I think if I offed Mr. Pickles for you (which I wouldn't, bc Mr. Pickles brings peeps, and I love peeps), I'd be tempted to keep Koa for myself...

Look at that nosey! :) how cute

Just remember that other people's puppies are so much cuter and nicer than one's own puppy. Because you can't escape your own puppy and the constant monitoring for potty training and the chewing and barking and nonsense. There, did that help?

I second Buzz's Food Lady, having trained two puppies in the past three years. Oh, and I might be biased, but I think my Dobie puppy was cuter. :)

That is one cute puppy though. Good luck getting any work done with Koa around.

While I hear what Buzz's Food Lady says and I know it's supposed to make sense, it does not compute. Sometimes, the cuteness factor overrides all the other negatives about puppies. I am hoping we move to a bigger place soon because I want another puppy!

Koa is just too cute!

Awww.. SOoo cute! Now I want another puppy too! :)

(Psst... is it just me or does Mr. Pickles look like Clay Aiken? O_o)

NO! It didn't help :( It has been sooo many years since I had a puppy and I know soooo much more now. Imagine what a beast I could raise. WAAAAAHHHHH!!

Ummm .... no! He does have goofy hair sometimes, but other than that really doesn't rememble the douchbag known as Clay Aiken.

It is, however, fodder for name calling in my quest to beat him down emotionally and then take control of his new puppy!! Thx!

You need to put up video of Mr. Woo doing the barkscream. I can't even imagine what that must sound like.

The first time I read your blog it made my day - I nearly peed my pants. I have three border collies who are all under 3 years and am craving a 4th! Madness I say! We just moved last year to have a bigger house and yard for the dogs and I am already thinking about the next house with MORE land so I can have more dogs! I scour regularly the rescues in Ontario and New York (I live in QC) ... I need an intervention ... all that to say that I understand your need for another puppy. Hang in there!

You have the best of both worlds, you can absorb the puppy cuteness and love, then go home to your nicely housebroken crew that have the ability to sleep through the night. Enjoy the peace - err as much peace as one can have with three BC's. (spoken by a person who has not slept through the night in a month because she adopted a puppy) *sigh* FEEL MY PAIN!

Warning: Antipuppyness ahead!

I never again want to have a puppy. Last puppy was in 1996 (well, the Giz was 7 mo when I got him in 2001.) Does that make me a scrooge? Or maybe overly practical...

I like to appreciate puppies from afar. Vancouver BC for example! Keeyoot dobie!

I'll share my puppy lust recovery plan... foster a pup while it is still in its adorable I want to learn everything phase. Then show off your puppy to everyone so that you find it a forever home before it hits adolesence! You get all the best parts of a puppy without the attitude between adorable and adult!

The last time worked so well I didn't even want to take a break between puppies!
